We recently a great weekend away to Hunstanton located in Norfolk by the Wash, that is why the weekend is known as Wash.

It is an annual national event still popular amongst 18 Plus groups throughout the country.

They stay in a caravan throughout the weekend and on top of that there is a band and disco each evening at the venue. Many people also enjoy going to meet others from different groups.

It mainly from Friday to Monday but some people decided to come along early on the Thursday. I came later on the Friday. There was a great band on the Friday night, singing songs from all different eras. On the Saturday night it was more specific to the 80s, the band sang a variety of songs from the eras, especially ones people can dance to. Some people also decided to dress up in fashions or as singers from the decade. The Sunday night has a slightly different take. We were entertained by s solo singer singing Motown and Soul songs. The singer was brilliant and everyone enjoyed the songs. After the bands or singer there was always a disco where most people took to the swing of things and took to the dancefloor.

There is also entertainment in the daytime, so yes it is not just a night-time holiday. On the Saturday the entertainment consisted of fun bingo where they could win different prizes and then there was karaoke where people were attempting to sing their favourite songs. Then on the Sunday many people took part in the big quiz of Wash. Many teams were trying to answer questions from a range of topics in order to win first prize.

In addition you don't have to stay on the caravan site as there are may different places to explore. I went with some other members to the historical town of King's Lynn. We were exploring the town in the form of a treasure hunt/murder mystery. This allowed us the explore all different parts of the town including the river the Great Oose, the harbor, Guannock Gate (located in the local park), the statue of George Vancouver near the quay. It was a great experience. The next day we took a stroll along the coast of the Wash towards Old Hunstanton seeing many other historical sites with an amazing view of the sea.

Many of the plus members say the Wash weekend is brilliant and would recommend it to anyone.
