A Good Start to the Year

We are now two months into the year and already Redbridge Plus has been involved in quite a few activities and events.

On our regular Friday nights we have had various activities including the board game, About Britain, involving moving counters up and down the country, a Valentine's Quiz, which was about Valentine's Day general knowledge and identifying love songs, and Play Your Cards Right, based on the popular TV series.

We also took part in an area pool competition where Redbridge member Trevor Eley won against groups Barking and Dagenham, and Romford and Havering.

As well as this we went to see a terrific band at the RUSSC club located in Romford who were playing well known 80s songs, including Take on me and Like a Virgin.

In addition we have had some nice scrumptious meals at the Gourmet Buffet and the Toby Carvery. 

To top this some of our members went to the Wash weekend in Hunstanton to meet up with other plus members from across the country, enjoy the bands, walk along the sea front and take part in a quiz.

These are just some of the events we have enjoyed in the first few months of the year. There are more events coming up including our charity quiz on Saturday 16th May, a museum trip and lots of games and quizzes on Friday nights. Come and join us one Friday night at Goodmayes Community Centre from 8.30pm.
