Rounders

Members are celebrating their victory in a regional rounders competition at Thorndon Park. Brentwood. The contest saw six teams from Essex and East Anglia do battle in a round robin, with the highest scoring team in each of the two groups going forward to the final. Redbridge found them selves against the Havering and Romford group in the grand final and after some "fine shots and excellent fielding" the squad won by eight rounders to four. Sports secretary Kerry Mann said: "It was a fantastic day, and although we weren't expecting to do so, winning the competition was a great result."
