Cruising Along The Broads

Members of the club enjoyed a glorious sunny week cruising on the Norfolk Broads during their latest group holiday.

Starting at the north at Potter Heigham, members travelled most of the Broads’ 125 miles of navigable rivers and broads, mooring up overnight.

The group got to see a variety of wildlife including kingfishers, great crested grebes, marsh harriers and even an otter and seal, as well as many windmills and wind-pumps.

Member Elliot Barclay said: “It was a fantastic holiday and I really enjoyed taking the helm of the boat and navigating the different rivers.”

The holiday is just one of the wide variety of events run by the group, open to anyone aged over 18.

The club runs every Fridays at Goodmayes Community Centre, Green Lane, Goodmayes.
