The Redbridge 18 Plus social group was transported back in time to discover the charms of the Victorian railway: Members hopped on board steam trains and explored the historic Ongar to Epping rail route, after making their way to Ongar station on an old Routemaster bus.
The group then took a train from the fully restored Victorian station and journeyed into North Weald, before taking a diesal train to Coopersale. Member Elliot Barclay said: "I enjoyed going on a steam train and being in a 1st class carriage. It's also a novel experience going on an old Routemaster bus. "I think this would be a great day out tor anyone."
