Social Club Steps into the World of Journalism

SAM_0086.JPG

The social club took a step into the world of journalism when members perfected their newsreading skills as they tried their hand at presenting on a visit to BBC studios in central London last week. Members, who organise social gatherings and events for those aged 18 to ffi. went to Broadcasting House in Regent Street for a tour and sat on the set of The One Show.

The also visited the former radio studios which were in use during the Second World War before taking part in a radio drama. Francesca Barclay said "The trip was very interesting and enjoyable, especialy reading out the news." The group meets on Fridays at Central Library, Clements Road, Ilford,

at 8.30pm.
