Finding fun was no battle in Hastings for group on visit to Sussex seaside

A dozen members of this social club dressed as pirates during a summer stay at a caravan park at Hastings, East Sussex. The group made full use of the site's facilities, going swimming and enjoying a game of pitch and putt before heading into Hastings in the afternoon and returning for a barbecue in the evening. The trippers also took advantage of the boating lake, go-kart racing and crazy golf, with a couple of brave souls making the most of the fine weather by going for a swim in the sea. Redbridge member Elliot Barclay said "It was a great week away with plenty of things to do and I'm looking forward to the next one." Overcast weather towards the end of the week saw most of the group heading west to Eastbourne for a change of scene, while a few visited the historic and picturesque town of Rye. On the Friday the group headed back to the old town where, as part of carnival week, it was Pirate Day, which saw scores of locals and visitors dressed up as swashbuckling seamen.
