Well, that was a good trip. And it was almost all good weather. Even the day that was forecast to be wet (Monday) was little more than overcast. The little more was a few specks of rain. Having holidayed on the Norfolk Broads for some 15 – 20 years with my 18 Plus Group, I opened it to EFOG members and 3 of them (Fozi, Marian and Ian) took the plunge (not literally) for the weekend. Here’s a summary of the weekend. Arriving at Stratford station I made my way to the café to see who else had arrived. Group members enjoyed a relaxing week-long break on a boat. The social club took time out to navigate the Norfolk Broads in Norfolk, stopping off on its travels to bird watch, canoe and visit an historic castle. Members took turns to steer the boat before arriving at Salhouse Broad where they went rowing in canoes. Six Members Enjoy 125 Miles of River

Members enjoyed a week away on the Norfolk Broads. Six members of a social group hired a cruser and traveled along the rivers from Potter Heigham via Great Yarmouth and Breydon Water, though to Oulton Broads and Norwich. During the week 125 miles of rivers was covered, mooring up at villages and pubs overnight. The holiday is just one of the events held by the group. The hustle and bustle of Redbridge roads was left far behind for members of a social club who took to the water for a canal trip this month. Members of Redbridge 18 Plus enjoyed a week afloat on a narrow boat on the historic Kennet and Avon Canal.
